This is my first of a throwback series I'm doing. As you may know from some of my recent posts, I absolutely love the fashion from the sixties. Here are some of my favourite pictures that completely depict the sophisticated and classic styles. 

On Trend - Florals

Florals have appeared on the runway in London, New York and Milan Fashion Week and they look amazing. Different designers have interpreted this trend in their own ways, whether it be florals multiplied and dotted around a piece of clothing, or simply one floral simple to make a bold statement.
I am a real fan of this trend and I really enjoy how high end designers create their own floral peices in order to follow the trends and keep their audience in the spring/summer mood!
So here are how designers have produced floral pieces for the runway!

1. Is your hair naturally curly, wavy or straight?

Curly. 

2. Do you dye it yourself or go to a salon?

I used to dye it myself but now I go to Regis Hair Salons. 

3. Do you wear the same style everyday, or do you change it?

I change my style everyday depending on the occasion! 

4. Do you do your own mani/pedi or go to a salon?

The majority of the time I paint my nails myself because I am a nail polish addict and I have a huge collection! But for holidays and special occasions I get acrylic nails. 

5. How often do you change your nail polish?

Every few days. I'm obsessed! 

6. Do you polish your toes in the winter or just the summer?

Only summer. 

7. How long does it take for you to put on makeup?

Around 10-15 mins. 

8. What do you do first? Face or eyes?

I start with my face, putting on moisturizer, primer, foundation and bronzer, then I do my eyes. 

9. Do you collect makeup or just buy what you need when you need it?

I buy what I need, when I need it. 

10. How often do you wear false eyelashes?

Never! I think they look so artificial! 

11. Do you do a full face of makeup every day?

No, because I am prone to acne so I never want to over cake my face unless I really need to. 

12. Do you wear makeup when you’re home alone or with family?

No! 

13. Will you leave the house without makeup?

Of course I doz 

14. How many high-end products do you have?

 About 30. 

15. Do you plan your OOTD every night or decide when you’re getting dressed?

I'm a very last minute person, so I usually just decide when I'm getting dressed. But if it's a special occasion then I will decide a few days before. 

16. How often do you change your handbag?

Never! I am so picky about handbags and can never find the right one. 

17. What time do you wake up and go to sleep? 

On weekdays I get up at 7, and I go to sleep at around 11. On the weekends, I wake up as late as I can and go to bed as late as I can! 

18. How often or when do you workout?

I am awful when it comes to this, I hardly ever exercise! 

19. Left handed or right handed?

Right handed. 

20. How tall are you?

No idea! But tall! 

21. Do you speak any foreign languages?

I speak a bit of Hebrew. 

22. How many pets do you have?

I just have a dog called oscar. 

23. How often are you on WordPress?

I use blogger, so I use wordpress when checking out other blogs. 

24. Do you read comments posted on blogs?

Of course, I love reading people's opinions on my posts and I reply to everything. 

25. Do you keep a list of products to try as you see other posts?

Yes I always bookmark a post I like . 

26. How did you come up with your blog name?

It’s simple, it's just my name! 

27. What kind of camera do you use for your photographs?

I use my Olympus camera. It's amazing. 

28. How often do you clean your house?

Whenever my mum asks me to, but once I get to university I will be cleaning every day! 

29. What’s your favorite color?

Lilac, and any pastel colours 

30. What is your favorite drugstore/high end makeup brand?

My fave drugstore makeup brand is Rimmel London and my fave high end is definitely Mac. 

31. What are you doing with the rest of your day?

Watching tv and reading all of your blogs!!!

 At £22, I have found another sparkly top. This is slightly smarter, the bold sleeves and square cut shape is ideal for all shapes and sizes, and will look great for parties.

 So here is another tartan print, these trousers are gorgeous, the blue and black checkered style is totally on trend. Grab this item for just £25.

This is another favourite of mine from the sale. I love knitwear, and this pastel blue fluffy cropped knit works for winter and summer. I love the vibrancy of this piece, it is keeping to the pastel trend aswell. Pricing at only £25, you can't say no to this cute jumper.

Why is society making talentless people famous?

The obsession with the 'celebrity' has reached new heights in the past few years. Our society is dominated by celebrity culture, everywhere we look, there is a billboard, a tweet , a magazine cover, all centered around the celebrity.

I have nothing against those who gain fame as a result of their talent, whether it be acting, directing or singing, they have a right to all the success and fame that they receive. However, I find it difficult to understand why society today is placing such focus on these 'talentless' celebrities. People have become obsessed with these so called stars, from fans to journalists, these people have swamped the world of the celebrity. 

Take the world famous Kim Kardashian, who rose to ultra fame as a result of her infamous sex tape with her then boyfriend, musician Ray J. Following the tape, she and her family were offered their own reality TV show, and the rest is history. 

This women is famous for nothing but a disgusting fame hungry video exploiting herself and reaching new levels of self degradation. Many girls see Miss Kardashian was a role model, someone they aspire to be like and someone they aspire to be like and even someone who is a true embodiment of the perfect woman. I struggle to understand why popular culture so much on Kim and the rest of her family, she has no real talent. Some may argue to that she is a 'businesswoman' but I struggle to think that she has created these ventures, I believe that she has a very skilled team who have shaped her brand. 

This woman is a billionaire, she is in every magazine, website , you can't not know of her existence. I just can't pinpoint why other than her good looks, what can she can offer to her young female fans, apart from exploiting yourself in a sex tape?

Other celebs such as Paris Hilton, heiress to the Hilton Hotels franchise, have dominated the limelight. She, in my eyes, is nothing but a young lady with an extremely wealthy fortune ( and a sex tape aswell!) who has ultimately walked into Hollywood fame and earned a name for herself. 

I find it quite sad that this our celebrity culture, overpowered by talentless people who have a fan base of over a million people. The fact that worries me the most is most of these die hard fans are young girls like myself, who think that artificial and sexual factors will get you fame. 

I just hope that one day society will stop reporting on those with no talent, and start to focus more on the people who can really make a different to the world and be someone who that others can look up to.
